2014 was a hell of a year. For Apex – evidently – because we launched our Specialty Office Coffee Service in Brussels this september. That’s not all. It have been busy times for our roasting partners: Mok, Or and Normo. Below is just a snippet of all their activities of the past year, with one central message: visit them!
First of all, they all got a rightful spot in Knack Weekend’s Must-Visit Coffee bars of 2014, while Or was referenced by La Libre Belgique as must-have-a-coffee spot in Brussels.
Normo was sought after by photographers and bloggers near and far, up to a mention in Forbes Magazine. In the meantime, to cope with demand, they bought a new roaster and moved to a larger roasting location, thanks to new customers (like this one) that spread the Normo word in Antwerp and beyond!
Mok has had an eventful year. Jens, the owner, became Belgian Cup Tasting Champion, and went on to represent our country in Australia. The roastery also started deliveries to some very exciting places, ao.: De Superette, The Jane, and Ogst. Superette was awarded “Most Innovative Restaurant Concept 2014”, while The Jane was receive a first Michelin star and Ogst opened in November with Rave Reviews. Do visit, and have a coffee after dinner!
Or opened a new Coffee Shop in Brussels’ European District and dominated the Belgian Barista Championships. One of Or’s founders, Katrien Pauwels, even published a highly advisable book on coffee. No wonder they were inundated by press attention, be it in the paper or on tv.
A lot of name-dropping, one message: visit them – or order Apex at your Office – and experience it for yourself!
